about

This is an exploration into stream-of-consciousness and mindfulness techniques applied to a music composition known as THADET.

In this excursion into this music, I have directed my attention to what the sounds and the music are saying and have done my best to follow it wherever it leads me.

This music, recorded live in concert-stream- is the result

Since I’ve explained what is happening here, it should be obvious to anybody that this is not a refined composition that has undergone stages of editing to cure, remedy, shift, and/or remove problems.

Stream of consciousness creation does not have a forward, or a back. It doesn’t review, it doesn’t analyze. It has one mode, right here, right now.

As such, you can imagine that there are some places where I’m slipping off the saddle in this- and that’s the whole point. Is to be able to maintain focus, on what is happening right now, surrendering imperfection, Vulnerability, authenticity-

If you were to ask me what my favorite part of this whole thing is- Primarily it would be that I was even able to do this in the first place. Keep in mind that this is 45+ minutes of music. Nonstop, staying on purpose. My most rewarding moment in these two tracks happens in part two, about 15 minutes in. There is a sequence that starts around that lasts for about seven or eight minutes. Which is very much in the elevated consciousness zone. 100%. This is themes comprised of the traditional thought and melody and chord structure, that never existed prior to this moment of Genesis

On the more disappointing side, I slipped off the saddle when I started doing thadet variation 4 which is a more predetermined composition that I have been inserted into this vortex of new ideas. I felt for a moment or two as though I shifted out of place, but I was able to regain my composure and shift back to listening to the music and refocus- which to be is a victory in and of itself
